The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed Sarfaraz Ahmed as the manager and mentor of the Pakistan Under-19 team. The former captain has taken on his new role with fresh determination, and a post he shared on X went viral.
Hinting at the start of his new responsibilities, Sarfaraz Ahmed posted on X: “I begin in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.” He also added a prayer emoji, indicating that he seeks prayers for success in fulfilling his new duties.

Under Sarfaraz Ahmed’s leadership, Pakistan has won the ICC Champions Trophy, the Under-19 World Cup, and Quetta Gladiators have lifted the PSL trophy. Now, he steps into a new role to guide young cricketers toward success.
Meanwhile, Farhan Yousuf has been appointed captain for the Under-19 Asia Cup. The tournament will be held in Dubai from December 12 to 21, where Pakistan is placed in Group ‘A’ alongside India, Qualifier 1, and Qualifier 3. Pakistan will play its opening match against Qualifier 3 on December 12 and face India on December 14. Both matches will be played at the ICC Academy.
Other players in the squad include: Usman Khan (vice-captain), Abdul Subhan, Ahmed Hussain, Ali Hasan Baloch, Ali Raza, Daniyal Ali Khan, Hamza Zahoor, Huzayfa Ahsan, Momin Qamar, Muhammad Huzayfa, Muhammad Siyam, Muhammad Shayan, Naqaab Shafiq, and Sameer Minhas.
