Russell Brand has urged his followers to support him financially by paying a subscription fee on a video platform popular with right-wing streamers as UK police have launched an investigation into a number of allegations of non-recent sexual offenses following media reports that four women had accused actor and comedian of a string of sexual assaults.
After becoming the subject of a special Channel 4 Dispatches episode which aired last week, Brand faces allegations of emotional abuse, sexual assault and rape.
The 48-year-old comedian has vigorously denied all allegations, arguing it’s a ‘coordinated attack’ on him by the media.
In his latest video for Rumble – part of his ‘voyage to truth and freedom’ – Brand has urged followers to subscribe to his channel on the online video platform.
“Following an investigation by Channel 4’s Dispatches and The Sunday Times, the Met has received a number of allegations of sexual offenses in London,” London’s Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

“We have also received a number of allegations of sexual offenses committed elsewhere in the country and will investigate these.”
Police declined to give details of the dates, the number of incidents, or the details of the offenses under investigation.
However last week, in wake of the reports, the police did say they had received an allegation of a sexual assault reported to have taken place in Soho, central London, in 2003.
