LAHORE: A very important revelations have come to light regarding the alleged honey-trap plan in the murder case of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ticket holder Abdullah Tahir, who was gunned down a few days ago in Lahore while on his way for a routine medical check-up from his Gulberg residence.

According to police, the female TikToker arrested from Sialkot and shifted to Lahore has been identified as Laraib, a resident of Sialkot.

Police claim Laraib was previously married to the leader of the shooters gang allegedly involved in the murder. After their divorce, she remarried. Police say that after separating from her second husband, she re-established contact with the gang leader.

According to investigators, the gang leader initially gave Laraib the task of honey-trapping Abdullah Tahir himself. Police said Laraib also shared photos of the PTI leader, but the plan was changed after the victim did not respond.

Police claim she was then given a second task – to honey-trap the victim’s driver. Through the driver, the murder plan was allegedly completed.

The latest disclosure is linked to the earlier investigation in which three shooters were identified as Arsalan Jatt, Sikandar and Zeeshan.

As per police, Arsalan Jatt brought the shooters to Lahore in a car, while Sikandar and Zeeshan entered the clinic and shot Abdullah Tahir dead. The main accused and the two shooters have reportedly fled to Waziristan, where a team of the Crime Control Department [CCD] is present to arrest them.

Police also claim that the deal for Abdullah Tahir’s murder was worth more than Rs 200 million.

It is pertinent to mention here that the case was initially linked by police sources to a dispute over a sand contract in Narowal.

According to police sources, US-based suspect Zaman Kogi Butt had allegedly forbidden Tahir from obtaining the contract and later got him killed through hired shooters, for whom a red warrant is being sought.

Police say further investigation is underway into the TikToker’s alleged connection with the leader of the shooters gang.
