Royals visit Pakistan: Prince and Princess reach Islamabad
LAHORE: The British royal couple, Duke and Duchess have reached Islamabad after the successful tour of Lahore.
According to sources, the royal couple spent time with the children at the SOS village before departing for Islamabad.
During the visit to Lahore, Prince William and Prince Kate Middleton visited SOS Village, Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Badshahi Mosque, Shahi Fort and other places.
Later, the prince followed in his mother’s footsteps and visited Badshahi Mosque in the city, evoking memories of Princess Diana’s trip to the place of worship in 1991.
The historic Badshahi Mosque was built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir in 1673.

The royal couple was received by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Sarwar at the Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The royal couple was accompanied by Thomas Drew, the British High Commissioner to Pakistan; Simon Case, the Principal Private Secretary to the Duke; and Christian Jones, the Communications Secretary to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
