ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds, gales, and thundershowers in the capital city, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan today.
According to the Meteorological Department, it rained in Multan, Bahawalpur, and DG Khan due to which power supply was suspended in many areas, while light rain was also recorded in Clifton and Defense areas of Karachi.
The report stated that the highest rainfall in the country was recorded at Lahore Airport yesterday, 255 mm. On the other hand, there was heavy rain in the Mount Sulaiman range, which caused landslides at Dhansar and mountain rocks fell on the N50 highway, which closed the Zhob DI Khan highway and cut off the land connection of Balochistan with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A large number of vehicles were stuck on the motorway.
