Karachi is expected to receive rainfall on Monday as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cloudy weather, strong winds and showers in the city over the coming days.
According to the weather department, Karachi’s weather is expected to remain mostly cloudy over the next three days, with maximum temperatures likely to stay between 33°C and 35°C.
The PMD said stronger-than-usual winds and rainfall are expected in the city throughout the day, while light rain is also possible on Monday.
The weather department has also predicted windstorms, thunderstorms and rain in several parts of the country over the coming days.
According to the PMD, moist winds from the Arabian Sea are continuously entering upper and central parts of Pakistan, with their intensity expected to increase further on Saturday and Sunday.
The department said a weather system from the west is likely to enter the country’s northern regions on Monday. Rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds is expected in Kashmir from July 18 to 25, while similar conditions are forecast in Gilgit-Baltistan during the same period.
The PMD added that several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may receive rain between July 19 and 23. Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Lahore and other parts of Punjab may also experience thunderstorms and rainfall. Rain has also been forecast for Zhob, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Loralai, Sibi and Ziarat in Balochistan.
