Railways announces three special trains ahead of Eidul Adha

Pakistan Railways has decided to operate three special trains on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha to facilitate passengers during the festive season.

The special Eid trains will consist of seven to eight coaches each. According to the schedule, the first train will depart from Quetta for Karachi on May 23.

The second Eid special train will leave Karachi for Rawalpindi via Multan, Faisalabad, and Sargodha on May 24, while the third special Eid train will depart from Karachi for Lahore on May 25.

It is noteworthy that, for the first time, Peshawar has been excluded from the Eid special train schedule, as no Eid train will operate to Peshawar from Karachi, Lahore, or Quetta.

Railways shuts down 8 trains amid rising fuel costs
Pakistan Railways has temporarily suspended the operations of eight passenger trains due to rising diesel prices and increased operational costs. According to railway officials, the continuous surge in petroleum product prices, along with low passenger turnout on certain routes, has made it financially difficult to sustain regular train services. As a result, the administration decided to suspend multiple services in order to reduce fuel expenses.
