A satirical video produced by Chinese influencers has gone viral on social media, poking fun at India’s recent military setbacks — particularly the reported downing of Rafale fighter jets by Pakistan.
In the video, young Chinese performers wear exaggerated costumes, including brightly colored turbans decorated with toy aircraft, as they sing a humorous song in Mandarin that ridicules India’s alleged aerial losses. The parody, set to a playful melody, mocks the cost and failure of the Rafale jets — long touted as a crown jewel of India’s air force.
A rough translation of the lyrics includes lines such as:
“I bought a fighter jet, it got badly thrashed
What a shame, all the jets were destroyed
Not a single one came back — 9 billion rupees down the drain
Everyone is mocking us, it’s so embarrassing!”
The video has struck a chord with regional audiences, especially in Pakistan, where it has been widely shared and praised online. One Pakistani user quipped, “Even the Chinese are mocking India more than we are,” while another noted, “This is the first time Rafales and Israeli drones have been shot down — a major win for the J-10C jets of Pakistan and China.”
The viral moment comes in the wake of heightened military tensions between India and Pakistan. Earlier this month, India launched air and missile strikes across Pakistani territory.
In response, Pakistan claimed to have downed five Indian aircraft, including three Rafale jets — a claim that remains unverified by independent sources.
