South Korea’s one of the highest paid actors Kim Soo Hyun who is currently starring in Netflix’s ‘Queen Of Tears’ is set to voice in the soundtrack of the drama serial.
The news was reported that Kim Soo Hyun participated in recording the OST for ‘Queen of Tears’. It was later confirmed by the tvN the Korean actor had recently finished recording for the soundtrack of the drama.
It was further stated, “Kim Soo Hyun and the production team put in great effort to create this song, aiming to reciprocate the love shown by fans. Please keep an eye on upcoming episodes to discover in which scenes the song will be featured.”
This marks his return as an OST singer after 10 years since he contributed to the soundtrack of his mega-hit drama ‘My Love From The Star’.
Kim Soo Hyun is currently starring in ‘Queen of Tears’ which airs every Saturday and Sunday on Netflix. Moreover, the drama has now overtaken ‘Goblin’ to become the drama with the second-highest ratings in tvN history, bested only by ‘Crash Landing on You’ (which earned a record-breaking nationwide average of 21.7 percent for its series finale back in 2020).
According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of ‘Queen of Tears’ scored an average nationwide rating of 20.7 percent, marking a new all-time high for the show.
What is ‘Queen of Tears’ about?
The main characters navigate a tumultuous love story. Ji Won plays Hong Hae In, the heiress of the Queen’s Group conglomerate. Labeled the “queen of department stores,” she meets her match in Baek Hyun Woo, a Seoul National University graduate born on the far end of the spectrum in a rural town.
