Punjab’s Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has announced on Thursday that Punjab Government will provide all the required medicines for free to the cancer patients.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid has demanded a report from the province’s Health Department on this significant matter and said that she will not tolerate any compromise on the free medicines to the cancer patients.
Dr. Yasmin Rashid has issued immediate instructions to make sure the availability of free medicines to cancer patients. She promised that the Health Department would continue to supply medicines to cancer patients across Punjab province.
Meanwhile, in the meeting of the Punjab Assembly, Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi instructed that a thorough investigation of cancer medicine should be carried out. In response to that Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that Punjab’s Health department is providing medicines across the province, it was only the contract with the specific pharmaceutical company that was terminated.
