LAHORE: The Punjab government has set up a 1000-bedded field hospital in Expo Centre Lahore due to the emerging cases of coronavirus patients.
The Punjab government in this regard said that the hospital would also be used for emergency cases so that coronavirus suspected patients do not have to go to other hospitals.
The number of coronavirus cases has crossed over 600 in Punjab, forcing the government to arrange and provide necessary medical facilities to control the outbreak.
The 1,000-bed field hospital will provide immediate medical care to patients affected by the virus. It should be noted that due to timely medical aid, many of the infected patients have recovered from the deadly disease across the country.
Last month, the Sindh government also established a field hospital at the Expo centre in the city due to the same cause. One hall of the centre was converted into an isolation centre and in the other hall, beds, medicines, and necessary equipment were arranged.
