The Punjab government has withdrawn the notification for the jail trial of the GHQ attack case. Following this step, the founder of PTI will be tried in court.
According to a report citing sources, the trial of the GHQ attack case and the May 9 cases will now take place in the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court instead of Adiala Jail.
Regarding this, sources claimed in the report that a new notification has been issued by the Punjab government, and PTI founder Imran Khan will be produced via video link as needed.
The remaining accused in the GHQ attack case and other cases will appear in ATC Rawalpindi. However, PTI’s lawyer Faisal Malik has rejected the notification, according to the report.
Speaking to the media outside the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court, PTI’s lawyer Faisal Malik said that today was the hearing for 11 May 9 cases, and the hearings for the GHQ attack case and other cases have been postponed until October 1.
Lawyer Faisal Malik said that in the GHQ attack case, the court informed that a notification is coming. We were told that the GHQ attack case is returning from jail to ATC Rawalpindi, and PTI founder Imran Khan will be presented in court via video link.
Faisal Malik further said that we are filing a request in court for PTI founder Imran Khan to be presented in court. We reject such notifications from the Punjab government.
