LAHORE: Former finance minister Ishaq Dar criticised the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party that the public debt of the nation has increased from Rs. 24 trillion to Rs. 34 trillion during PTI’s tenure.
Ishaq Dar took to twitter and analyzed the incumbent government’s performance during the 18th months of its tenure.
Public Debt rose from Rs24.2T on 30June18 to Rs34T on 31Dec19 ie PTI’s daily increase of 18 billion against PMLN’s 5 billion. Public Debt & Liabilities increased from Rs30T on 30June18 to Rs41T on 31Dec19. Sadly, figures reflect unprecedented increase in 18 months of PTI’s Govt.

Dar tweeted, “Public Debt rose from Rs. 24.2 trillion on 30th June 2018 to Rs. 34 trillion on 31st December 2019 i.e. the PTI’s daily increase of 18 billion against PMLN is 5 billion.”
He further wrote, “Public Debt and Liabilities increased from Rs. 30 trillion on 30th June 2018 to Rs. 41 trillion on 31st December 2019.” According to Dar, the figures reflect an unprecedented increase in 18 months of the ruling party government.
Earlier, Dar while criticizing the incumbent government’s performance said that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the Fiscal year 2020 was a big disaster.
