ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday appointed Senator Aon Abbas Buppi as Special Assistant for e-commerce.

The Cabinet Division has issued notification of the appointment of Aon Abbas Buppi in a “honourary capacity.” Buppi previously served as Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal before being elected senator in March this year.

Earlier today, PTI’s Muhammad Ayub Afridi was appointed as the adviser to the prime minister on overseas Pakistanis. Afridi submitted his resignation as member of the upper house to Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and vacated his seat. Hours later, he was notified as the adviser to the prime minister on overseas Pakistanis.
