KARACHI: Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United got new players in Pakistan Super League 7 as alternatives after approval from Pakistan Cricket Board.
The changes were made mainly after the Afghan players had to withdraw from the PSL for the national series, while Mohammad Hasnain was banned for his bowling action.
A statement from the PCB said that once Afghan cricketer Rahmanullah Gurbaz returned, England’s Will Jacques would replace him.
The PCB says that due to the ban on Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Irfan will represent Quetta Gladiators for the remaining matches of PSL 7.
Will Smith will join the Silver category as a replacement for Ben Duckett. Luke Wood, meanwhile, is out of the tournament due to injury and will return soon.
