RAWALPINDI: Multan Sultans beats Islamabad United by 9 wickets in 22nd match of the Pakistan Super League season 5 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
James Vince scored quick-fire 61 in just 24 balls and helped Multan side to a convincing win against Islamabad.
The match was restricted to 9 overs because of late start and rain.
‘1st Innings’
Islamabad scored 91 runs for 7 wickets in 9 overs. Colin Munro was the highest scorer of United side as he scored 25 runs in 12 balls.
Junaid Khan and Imran Tahir of Multan side took 2 wickets apiece.
Earlier, Multan Sultans won the toss and elected to bowl.
Multan Sultans remained at the top of the PSL points table with 5 wins in 7 matches and have 11 points. One match of Multan was abandoned because of rain.
Multan Sultans went with 2 changes in their side as James Vince has returned to the side, whereas Islamabad United also made two changes in their side.
