QUETTA: The families of the victims of enforced disappearances in Balochistan spent Eid day on the streets protesting for the safe return of their loved ones.
A protest was outside the Quetta Press Club where the families demanded to release their loved ones or produce them court if there are allegations against them.
Sammi Baloch, the daughter of Dr Deen Muhammad who was abducted from Khuzdar 28th June 2009, was present at the protest rally. She said they grew up protesting for the safe return but he not been released yet or do they any information about his whereabouts.
Baloch activist Mahrang Baloch and Haseeba Qambrani, the sister of missing Hassan Qambrani, were present at the protest. They were seen consoling the mother of a Baloch missing person during a protest rally against enforced disappearances in Balochistan. The old shown also showed the Eid clothes she bought for her son.
According to estimates provided by the Europe-based Human Rights Council of Balochistan at least 20,000 Baloch activists have disappeared since 2000, and about 7,000 of them are dead.
