ISLAMABAD: General Secretary of Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) Labour Union, Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, has asserted that protecting the rights of minorities was their moral responsibility.
Talking to M.M News, Muhammad Yaseen strongly condemned the registration of false blasphemy cases against Christian workers in the development authority. “Islam teaches respect for all religions and this is also the teachings of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W),” he added.
The general secretary further said that CDA labour union believes in protecting rights without distinction of color, race, or religion. “All prophets in Islam have taught peace and brotherhood,” he remarked.
“Currently, there is a need for peace and unity within the country. Some external forces are trying to create a rift between the people of Pakistan by using blasphemy for their nefarious purposes, which we strongly condemn,” he asserted.
Chaudhry Yaseen urged the people of Pakistan to work together to eliminate extremist acts in the name of Islam and blasphemy. He also expressed its solidarity with the Christian community living in Pakistan and urges the concerned authorities to take steps for the protection of minorities living in the country.
