Promotion of economic activities is topmost agenda: PM

KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday promotion of economic activities and bringing people out of poverty was its government’s topmost agenda.
While addressing an award distributing ceremony hosted by Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the prime minister said that bringing Pakistan to the list of top most prosperous countries was the vision of PTI government.
He said that the economic team of his government keen to resolve the economic issues and efforts with State Bank of Pakistan Governor Dr Reza Baqir and his adviser on commerce, textiles, industries, and investment, Abdul Razak Dawood, and talked about measures that would help all businesses.
Talking to a group of businessmen, who called on the PM, Imran stressed the traders to help enhance economic practice in the country. He said all the stakeholders should jointly work for economic constancy in the country, he added.
Terming the business community as a vital part of the economy, PM Imran also promised to concentrate on their issues on a precedence basis.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance Hafeez Shaikh, Jahangir Khan Tareen and others were also present on the occasion.
