Pakistan offers 1,000 scholarships to Afghan students

ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has launched a programme as part of its Allama Iqbal Scholarship for capacity building of universities in war-torn Afghanistan and awarded 1,000 scholarships to Afghan students studying in Pakistan.
Pakistani diplomat to Kabul Zahid Nasrullah Khan was attended the event arrange for the scholarship awareness among students.
Talking to media, Nasrullah Khan said Pakistan was ardent to include Afghanistan in all opportunities for development and opulence with an open heart. He showed confidence that the government of Afghanistan, would play a historic role in sync with changed circumstances.
“Pakistan and Afghanistan are not only connected by geographical boundaries but are also bound by communal ties of blood, culture, history and belief,” he said.
Funds for the scholarship would be given by Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission to endorse education in Afghanistan and help children from far-flung areas of the country to get a better education
The successful candidates will be able to get their higher education in various universities throughout Pakistan in different fields including, medical, engineering, agriculture, and business management.
