Federal Minister for National Food Security Khusro Bakhtiar has claimed that the price of wheat flour would be start reducing from tomorrow (Monday).
Addressing a press conference, he said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf government has taken strong actions to overcome flour crisis across the country, adding that the government has decided to import wheat to overcome the crisis.
He also claimed that due to bad weather condition the production of wheat has been reduced and 40,000 tons of wheat was being smuggled at Chaman border.
Criticising the Sindh government, he said that Sindh is facing shortage of wheat due to its own policies, adding that 9,000 tons of wheat has been transferred to Karachi and government is ready to provide more.
At the occasion, he highlighted the need of a new agriculture policy and said that it is the time for a new economic charter.
