Pakistan wants to create economic partnership with Turkey: FM

MULTAN: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday explained that National Accountability (Amendment) Ordinance 2019 was not intended to provide fa National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) to anyone.
While talking to media reporters, the foreign minister pointed out that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were calling for the revision of the jurisdiction of the anti-graft agency.

The foreign minister lamented the opposition’s claim pf dysfunctional economics policies of the PTI government and at the same time resisting economic affairs. He said that the federal government’s actions are being criticised for the state of economic instability by the opposition, while regretting that criticism has become a standard in our society without a thorough study of a subject. he further added.

Earlier on Saturday, the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) received an appeal against the National Accountability (Amendment) Ordinance 2019, promulgated by the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) through a presidential order on Friday that made significant amendments to the accounting law known as the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999.
