KARACHI: A delegation of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders from the Karachi Division and District East visited Chanesar Town to review the progress of ongoing development projects at the invitation of Town Chairman Farhan Ghani.
The delegation included PPP Karachi Division General Secretary Raouf Ahmed Nagori, District East President Iqbal Sand, Member of the National Assembly Asad Alam Niazi, District East General Secretary Riaz Baloch, Information Secretary Farrukh Niaz Tanoli, and other party officials.
During the visit, the delegation inspected development work underway on the road connecting Dow Medical College to Al-Naz Biryani Road. They also toured Mahmoodabad Model Park, where officials provided a detailed briefing on the progress of ongoing infrastructure and construction projects.
Vice Chairman Nadeem Khayali and officials of the CLICK project briefed the delegation on the construction of a modern cricket and football stadium at Mahmoodabad Model Park, being developed to international standards. Officials said the project aims to provide young people with world-class sports facilities while promoting healthy recreational activities in the area.
Chairman Farhan Ghani also informed the delegation about various development initiatives being carried out across Chanesar Town, including infrastructure upgrades, road construction and rehabilitation, park improvements, drainage works, and the provision of other municipal services.
Speaking on the occasion, PPP Karachi Division General Secretary Raouf Ahmed Nagori said the party remains committed to public service and considers the development of Karachi, improvement of civic amenities, and enhancement of residents’ quality of life among its top priorities. He added that elected local government representatives were working around the clock to meet public expectations.
District East President Iqbal Sand said the ongoing projects in Chanesar Town reflected the party’s commitment to public welfare. He stated that, in line with the directives of the PPP leadership, efforts were being made to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of development schemes so that residents could benefit from improved public facilities.
The delegation expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of the ongoing projects and commended the efforts of Chairman Farhan Ghani, Vice Chairman Nadeem Khayali, and the officials involved.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to accelerating public service initiatives, maintaining transparency and quality in development projects, and utilizing all available resources to provide Karachi residents with modern, safe, and sustainable urban infrastructure.
Among those present were PS-104 President Qamar Ahmed Khan, PS-105 President Iqbal Bala, Deputy Information Secretary Hissam Shamsi, Murtaza Baloch, Fazal Mulla, and other local representatives.
