KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has announced the schedule of the party’s long march that is set to take place on February 27.
Sources revealed that the PPP’s long march will culminate in a peaceful manner after reaching Islamabad and there will be no sit-in in the federal capital calling for the ouster of the government.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has issued cleared directives for the long march that will start from Karachi and will reach the capital in ten days after passing through 34 different cities.
According to the schedule, the long march will start from Karachi’s Mazar-e-Quaid on February 27 at 10:00 AM. The protest rally will first reach Badin district via Thatta and Sujawal.
On Monday, Feb 28, the long march would pass through Hyderabad, Halla, Nawabshah and would end at Moro town. The protestors would stay overnight at Sukkur on March 1 and will be hosted by the PPP stalwart Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah where Bilawal will address a gathering.
The next stop will be Rahim Yar Khan on February 28, while they will reach Multan on March 1, where they will be hosted by the former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani. On March 2, the long march will reach Chichawatni.
After that, the march will reach Lahore on March 3 where more people will gather to leave for Wazirabad on March 4. The last stop of the march will be Islamabad on March 6.
