LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has expelled five MPAs from the party for meeting Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

A delegation of PML-N MPAs, Chaudhry Ashraf Ali, Muhammad Ghiyas Uddin, Muhammad Faisal Khan Niazi, Mian Jaleel Ahmed Sharaqpuri and Nishat Daha had called on Buzdar on 29th September and assured him of their support to resolve public issues.

The PML-N leadership has taken a strong exception to the meeting and decided to expel them from the party for violating party discipline rules.

PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal announced the decision after approval of party leadership. Their expulsion letters were signed by PML-N’s Punjab President Rana Sanaullah.

The PML-N also served show-cause notices on four parliamentarians for being absent from voting on FATF-related bills by a joint session of parliament last month.

The notices were served notices to Rahila Magsi, Kulsoom Perveen, Dilawar Khan, and Shamim Afridi. They were asked to explain their position regarding their absence from the parliament session.
