KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in Sindh’s capital next week during Eid al-Adha.
According to PMD, heavy rain is expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur on upcoming Monday and Tuesday, when the nation will be celebrating of Eid-ul-Adha.
Partly cloudy weather was witnessed in Karachi today. In the early morning, 74 percent of humidity was recorded in the air which is expected to blow at 10 nautical miles per hour in the city.
According to PMD, the weather will remain cloudy in Karachi with maximum temperature between 32 to 34-degree centigrade.
PMD said in its forecast that the seasonal low lies over northeast Balochistan as weak rainstorm flows from the Arabian Sea are penetrating upper and central parts of the country.
Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country today. However, rain or wind-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala division, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
Last week, Last week, at least 19 people died due to rain-related incidents in Karachi while power supply in most of the areas remained suspended.
