ISLAMABAD: The government-backed Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has changed the syllabus for entry tests of medical colleges.
MBBS Admission Test (MDCAT 2020) will be conducted By PMC on 15th November for private as well as for public sector medical colleges.
This is not the first time the PMC has made major changes and triggered the students’ sentiments. The commission first abolished the old Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), jeopardized medical and dental colleges’ entry tests in 2020, and now changed the syllabus for the entry tests.
Many students showed their distress on the PMC’s last-minute switch in the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT 2020) syllabus. According to them, the council had earlier assured them of not including topics outside the existing provincial syllabus.
However, PMC later announced a new syllabus for exams. Students blame that they have ‘copy/pasted’ the National University Of Medical Sciences’ (NUMS) syllabus.
