ISLAMABAD: At least eight coronavirus cases have been reported in a medical college of the federal capital.
The administration has decided to close the college for a week after the coronavirus cases came to light. According to the notification issued by the college administration, the teaching process in the college will be suspended until 1st November. Students are instructed to stay at home and follow the coronavirus SOPs.
Two cases of coronavirus have come to light in another educational institution in the federal capital Islamabad yesterday. As per sources, after two coronavirus cases were reported in Islamabad Model College for Girls, the District Health Officer has issued a letter to seal the educational institution.
Last week, coronavirus cases were confirmed in five educational institutions in the federal capital. The DHO ordered the closure of educational institutions after confirmation of the coronavirus in educational institutions.

A letter was also issued to seal the relevant departments of the university after the coronavirus cases came to light in a private university. At least two coronavirus cases were reported in Islamabad Model School and three while two cases were reported in four private schools.
In the letters sent to the concerned institutions by the DHO, it was directed to immediately close the premises of the educational institutions and disinfect them.
