KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed a strict crackdown against those who were involved in wheat price-hike.
Federal Minister for Planning Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar confirmed it by saying the prime minister showed a serious concern and ordered the authorities to take strict actions against the culprits.
Umar said that the prime minister was more concerned over the current situation more than anyone else.
He said that the prime minister had stood up in the fight against mafias and hoarders.
Umar blamed the previous government for the current situation in the country, he said that the Pakistan Muslim League-N government was accountable for the outcome of the bad policies which the country has been facing.
Moreover, earlier in January, he assured that inflation would be reduced in 2020.
Umar told that the government was also taking measures to decrease the percentage of interest rate in 2020.
