ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet will meet today (Tuesday) in Islamabad to discuss the coronavirus situation, vaccination process as well as country’s political and economic situation.
As per details, Prime Minister Imran Khan will preside over the federal cabinet meeting to be held at the Prime Minister’s office. The cabinet will discuss an 8-point agenda during the meeting.
PM Imran will be apprised that the coronavirus infection testing capacity in the country would reach 30,000 per day. Sources said that the cabinet would also give a nod to the deployment of the Pakistan Army in aid of civil administration in more cities of the country.
The meeting would approve the appointment of production control manager at Heavy Industry Taxila while a summary of the reduction in prisoners’ sentences on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr will be submitted for approval, according to sources.
The appointment of the CEO of Railway Construction Pakistan Limited is also part of the agenda of the meeting besides the cabinet wills also mulling over the participation of the private sector in railways.
