ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan is expected to visit Larkana next week to review the coronavirus situation in the province.
The prime minister’s visit to Sindh has been delayed since last month due to the ongoing situation in the country.
On June 1, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad. The prime minister said the federal government will continue to play its role in the development of Sindh.
The meeting reviewed the progress of federal projects for construction and development in Sindh province and especially in Karachi while important decisions were taken regarding Karachi package.
PM Imran Khan said he is aware of the problems faced by the people of Sindh, particularly in Karachi. He called for the early completion of water and infrastructure projects in the city.
He further said that the people of Sindh province will not be left alone and the federal government will continue to play its role in the development of Sindh and he will visit Sindh soon.
On April 16, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Karachi has been postponed till next week.
The prime minister was scheduled to visit Sukkur, Larkana and Jacobabad to review the coronavirus situation in Sindh. Chief Secretary Sindh was expected to brief him on Ehsaas Emergency Cash programme during the visit.
