PM extends moral support to China over coronavirus threat

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said Pakistan stands with the people and government of China in their difficult and trying time.
In a tweet on Wednesday, he said Pakistan will be extending every material and moral support to China just as China has always stood by us during all our times of trial and tribulation.
He also issued instructions to Foreign Office and Overseas Ministry to do everything possible for our students who are stuck in Wuhan city.
“Pakistan stands with the people & govt of China in their difficult & trying time and it will always stand by them. We will be extending every material & moral support to China just as China has always stood by us during all our times of trial and tribulation.” he said.
“I have issued instructions to our Foreign Office and Overseas Ministry to do everything possible for our students who are stuck in Wuhan city,” the prime minister added.

Earlier Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfikar Bukharithe government was setting up a quarantine centre at the Islamabad International Airport to effectively handle and screen the people coming from abroad. The special assistant said that his government had allocated funds and taken different initiatives to deal with coronavirus.
The death toll has reached 1,113 in the epidemic of novel coronavirus in China. Another 97 people died in China , raising the national toll to 1,113, with more than 44,600 people now infected. There are been no case in Pakistan to date.
