PM condemns attacks on Rangers personnel in Sindh

KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan has strongly condemned three separate attacks targeting Rangers personnel deployed at Ehsaas cash distribution centers in Karachi, Ghotki and Larkana and ordered immediate investigation into the incidents.
“Saddened by the terrorist bomb attacks on Rangers deployed at Ehsaas cash centres in Karachi, Larkana and Ghotki today. I have asked for an immediate investigation into this so the terrorists can be brought to justice,” the prime minister tweeted.
The prime minister sought a report from the authorities concerned on the incidents. He also prayed for the Rangers personnel and civilians martyred in the incidents and for strength to the bereaved families to bear the loss.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has also ordered an inquiry into the Ghotki blast and a preliminary investigation report in the Larkana blast to be submitted within two day
The chief minister said an inquiry should be conducted and an initial report should be submitted within two days to ascertain the motives behind the incidents in Ghotki and Larkana.
The chief minister directed law enforcement agencies to strengthen coordinated efforts to stop elements trying to take benefit of the focus towards tackling the coronavirus outbreak.
He directed officials to launch an intelligence-based operation against criminals in each district and to intensify patrolling.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail also condemned the attacks and said: “Rangers have been a symbol of peace in our province, it is very sad & heartbreaking to see our heroes being cowardly attacked costing loss of lives.”
