PM blames Imran Khan regime for hike in fuel rates

LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that inflation in the country is skyrocketing but the decision regarding the increase in prices of petroleum products has been put on the table.

According to details, while appearing before the media in connection with the money laundering case, PM Sharif said that the people have been facing difficulties due to inflation, the poor families have gone bankrupt. “There is no one-time bread and no money for treatment,” he maintained.

“Inflation is skyrocketing,” he said by adding that there are no jobs in the country. Moreover, he allocated Rs 2,000 per month for needy families across the country.

Earlier, the prime minister appeared on the platform of the court and stated that he had been a servant of the province. He received a salary from the state treasury and never took TADA. Petrol was also delivered by myself while the salary and TADA amount were 7, 80 crores which were my legal right.

PM Shahbaz Sharif further said that he did not subsidize the sugar mills which cost his family Rs2 billion. In this case, he was charged with money laundering of Rs. 25 lakhs.
