LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PLMN-N) leader and the federal minister for Interior confessed on Sunday that PLM-N led government has accepted all International Monitory Fund’s demands that they used to oppose when they were in opposition. He blamed the previous government for current situation.
Talking to me media in Faisalabad, the federal minister urged the IMF to realize that Pakistan is a major Islamic country and a nuclear power.
He said that the international lender is twisting the government round its pinkie. We have increased prices of petroleum products but the IMF is not ready to resume loan program, he added.
Rana Sana Ullah put the onus of inflation on the bad governance of previous government and said that it failed to take appropriate measures to facilitate the masses.
The interior minister said it’s imperative that we improve Pakistan’s economic situation. If the economic situation keeps getting deteriorated, the effects will be unbearable, he added.
Rana Sana claimed PML-N has a good understanding of solving the current economic problems.
“The PTI government made a toy out of NAB chairman,” Rana Sana accused, “Tayyaba Gul and her husband stayed in the Prime Minister’s House for a month and a half.” He added.
The federal minister further said our position was that there should be no unconstitutional and non-political interference.
“The campaign of ‘Vote ko izzat do’ (Dignify the vote) meant acknowledging the result of electoral process” he said.
To a question, he said that the government was not a plaintiff in cases against anchor person Imran Riaz Khan adding that these cases had been registered by common people. He said that the government didn’t play any inhuman act with Imran Riaz during his arrest as it had done in the past with opponents. He said that journalists should not be a worker or spokesperson of any political party.
He said that PML-N would win by-elections as well as general elections and put the country on the road to development and progress.
