KARACHI: After witnessing marginal fluctuation in the opening hours of the trading session, Pakistan’s rupee ended the day unchanged against the US dollar in the interbank market on Thursday.
As per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the rupee closed at 224.71. The rupee has depreciated by 21.47% against the US dollar during the ongoing calendar year.

The rupee had decreased by Rs0.01 on Wednesday to close at 224.71 versus the US dollar after mainly remaining constant.
Moreover, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) wanted to examine not just the previous quarter but also the following three quarters, in addition to how the government would deal with the $16 billion repair and rehabilitation phase of the floods, according to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday.
In addition, the amount of remittances received by Pakistan from foreign employees decreased further in November 2022, coming in at $2.108 billion, a 14.3% decrease from the same month the previous year.
