JEDDAH: Hajj rituals have officially begun as the pilgrims will gather in Arafat field today to listen to the Hajj sermon.
In Mina, the world’s largest tent city is settled on an area of 2.192 square meters, 2.5 million lucky Muslims from all over the world, including more than one and a half million Pakistanis, are enjoying the blessing of Hajj.
During the Hajj rituals, the pilgrims will stay in the temporary tent settlement of Mina for the whole day of 8 Dhu al-Hijjah, during which more than 2.5 million pilgrims from all over the world will perform the five daily prayers and raise the voices of ‘Labaik Allah’, the Grand Ruler of Hajj. After performing the Fajr prayer on the 9th Dhul-Hijjah, the pilgrims will leave for the Arafat field.

Pilgrims will listen to a special Hajj sermon from Nimrah Mosque in Arafat field and will shorten the Zuhr and Asr prayers together. As soon as the sun sets, they will go to Muzdalifah, where they will perform Maghrib and Isha prayers together.
In Muzdalifah, the pilgrims will spend the night under the open sky, this is the place where pebbles will be collected to kill the devils.
After all this process, a sacrifice will be made in the way of Allah, after which the pilgrims will take off Ihram and go to Kaaba and perform Tawaf Ziyarah, then return to Mina and spend the days of Tashriq.
It should be noted that 24,000 buses have been arranged by the Saudi government to bring and take the pilgrims to the holy places.
