LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has chaired a high-level meeting over the incident of Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) attack.
During the meeting, Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that the government stood with all victims’ including doctors of the Institute.
She further said that the government fully supported doctors at the PIC.
The minister said the government would compensate for the loss and damage of vehicles of the doctors.
She pledged to reopen the hospital soon, after fixing the losses.
The doctors have announced to observe three-day mourning over the incident. Meanwhile, the under-treatment patients have been shifted to other hospitals of the province.
On the other hand, lawyers summoned a general house meeting at the Lahore High Court today to discuss future strategy.
The lawyers will also observe a complete strike today and have decided to lock the district courts. Neither police officials nor any litigant will be allowed to enter the court premises.
Reportedly, the lawyers have also planned to thrash media persons and have decided against allowing them to enter the court.
