ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has dismissed assistant manager flight services from service for possessing a fake degree.
According to a notification, the national flag carrier has terminated Khalid Mehmood Jadoon from service after finding him guilty of holding a forged BA degree during service and violating the company’s disciplinary policy.
The assistant manager had been served a show-cause in December last year but he failed to submit a satisfactory answer or participate in the enquiry proceedings.
“In response to the above show-cause notice, you submitted written reply which was declared unsatisfactory by the competent authority,” said the notice.
“Thereafter, an enquiry was conducted but you failed to participate in the enquiry proceeding, however, submitted a written statement wherein you accepted the charges levelled against you.’
The probe officer, while completing the enquiry proceedings, declared him guilty of possessing a fake degree and dismissed him with immediate effect in accordance with the rules of the company.
