KARACHI: In coordination with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Pakistan International Airline (PIA) said that it will airlift all of the humanitarian assistance supplies free of charge in order to contribute to the national relief efforts for the flood victims in Sindh and Balochistan.
CEO PIA, in order to ensure prompt compliance, has given pertinent instructions to its Cargo Division team and designated focal points at the cargo offices at the airports of Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad for the coordination and uplift of relief supplies.
According to a PIA official, all plans for the uplift of relief supplies have been completed.
At first, PIA will only collect relief supplies from NDMA authorities and will deliver the supplies to the approved NDMA officials.
PIA as the national flag carrier and organization always steps forward in the time of need and will continue to provide all support within its reach for the relief efforts and the relief uplift will continue till 9th September 2022.
