KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a significant reduction in fares to Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the Eid holidays, to cater to both pilgrims and individuals holding work visas.
The reduced fares will be effective from April 7 to April 11.
For those undertaking the sacred journey of Umrah, PIA has implemented a 20% reduction in fares.
Furthermore, individuals possessing residential permits and work visas will benefit from a 30% decrease in fares.
Economy class fares have seen a notable reduction of up to 50%. For instance, economy class tickets from Lahore are now priced at Rs103,680. Meanwhile, Umrah tickets from Karachi will cost Rs95,400.
Moreover, economy class fares have been reduced by up to Rs50,000 overall, making air travel more accessible and affordable for passengers.
Passengers originating from the North region, including Lahore, will now pay an economy class fare of Rs103,680. Similarly, Umrah pilgrims traveling from the South region, including Karachi, will be charged Rs95,400.
This announcement of reduced fares is particularly welcomed by travelers, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, a time when many embark on Umrah journeys.
