Pension welfare reduces interest rate by 2.28pc

ISLAMABAD: The interest rate on pension welfare has been reduced by 2.28 percent to 12.48 percent.
The move came after the interest rate was reduced by the National Savings Scheme.
According to details, the interest rate has been reduced by 2.73 percent by the National Savings Scheme.
The regular interest rate on fixed certificates has been reduced to 10.92 percent, while interest on special savings certificates has been fixed at 11 percent with 1.70 percent reduction.

Similarly, the interest rate on a savings account has been set at 8.20 percent, while interest on defense certificates has been fixed at 10.68 percent with the reduction of 2.33 percent and pension welfare interest rate has been fixed at 12.48 percent with 2.28 percent reduction.
