LAHORE: Pakistani senior director Syed Suleiman alias S. Suleiman has passed away at the age of 80.
His funeral will be held on Friday after the arrival of his son who lives abroad. According to the wife of the deceased, and a well-known actress Zarrin Panahin, Suleiman had been suffering from kidney disease for a long time, he had paralysis and diabetes as well.
He underwent treatment at a private hospital several times for the past year. Two days ago, S. Suleiman’s condition had worsened further and he was admitted to the hospital but could not recover. Suleiman’s first film, Gulfam, was released in 1961. He directed more than 60 films. He is survived by a wife, a daughter, and two sons.

According to Zari Pana, his eldest son is living abroad. On his return, the funeral prayers of S. Suleiman will be offered in a private society in Lahore on Friday. Showbiz personalities have offered condolences to his family on his demise and prayed for his forgiveness.
