The Government of Pakistan has decided to provide free mobile SIM cards in Saudi Arabia to pilgrims for Hajj 2026, a move aimed to improve communication facilities during the pilgrimage.
This arrangement is intended to make it easier for pilgrims to stay connected throughout Hajj.
According to details, all Pakistani pilgrims will receive SIM cards free of cost upon arrival in Saudi Arabia through official arrangements.
Under a long package, pilgrims will be given 600 minutes and 40GB of internet data free, while a short package will include 300 minutes and 25GB of internet data.
The SIM cards will also allow both local and international calls, enabling pilgrims to stay in touch with their families at all times.
The government has instructed pilgrims not to purchase any additional SIM cards.
Furthermore, only one official SIM will be issued per passport, and obtaining an extra SIM may result in the deactivation of the official one.
Recharge codes will be provided at pilgrims’ accommodations, and top-up facilities will also be available if the balance runs out.
