ISLAMABAD: A nine percent decrease in tea imports was recorded on an annual basis in the first 9 months of the financial year.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the volume of tea imports from July to March was $383.63 million dollars which is Nine percent less than the same period of the previous financial year, the volume of tea imports was recorded at $418.94 million in the same period of the previous financial year.
The import of tea in March was only $36.88 million, compared to $21.39 million in February and $52.68 million in March last year. In FY 2022, tea was imported worth $561.13 million.
