ISLAMABAD: A total of 953,842 people have been infected with coronavirus in Pakistan while 22,188 people have died due to the virus.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 935 new cases of the coronavirus were reported across the country in the last 24 hours, while 36 more civilians lost their lives.
During the last 24 hours, 46,842 tests were carried out for the diagnosis of the COVID-19, bringing the total number of tests to 1,43,071,850. In the last 24 hours, 1,110 patients beat the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 898,944. The number of active cases of the virus has reached 32,710 across the country.

Covid affected 345,655 people in Punjab, 335,044 in Sindh, 137,560 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 26,932 in Balochistan, and 82,528 in Islamabad. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 5,950 people were infected with corona, while in Azad Kashmir, 20,173 cases were reported.
The virus killed 4,298 people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 305 in Balochistan, 776 in Islamabad, 111 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 578 in Azad Kashmir. Earlier, Federal Minister Asad Umar said that if the SOPs were not strictly implemented and the coronavirus vaccine campaign was not carried out properly, the fourth wave of deadly epidemics could hit Pakistan.
Speaking yesterday, Asad Umar, head of the NCOC, said that the fourth wave of corona could come in July this year if the virus SOPs are not followed.
