ISLAMABAD: Around 382 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country while two more civilians have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Institutes of Health, a total of 1,534,270 people were infected with the coronavirus, and 30,390 died of the virus across the country. The mortality rate remains at 2 percent.
On the last day, 13,412 tests were done to diagnose coronavirus while the percentage of positive cases was 2.85 percent. The total number of tests was 289.45 million while 87 patients with coronavirus are in intensive care.

Earlier, health experts warned that coronavirus was spreading rapidly in Karachi, people should resume wearing face masks and maintain social distance in public places to prevent a new wave of the virus.

Health department officials said five days ago that Karachi is the most affected city in Sindh with 340 positive cases. In 7 days, the rate of positive cases has reached 10.69 percent.
In the same period, 1,841 tests were conducted in Hyderabad out of which 2 cases came positive. A total of 9,892 tests were conducted in other parts of Sindh out of which 34 turned out to be positive.
