KARACHI: Local body elections in 14 districts of Sindh have been accused of rigging. The PTI and MQM protested against the ruling party and demanded an investigation.
According to details, MQM leader Wasim Akhtar, while questioning the local body elections in Sindh, said that the local body elections were held during the incidents of violence, fear, and firing.
The former Karachi mayor said there were no election symbols on the ballot papers. There were riots and violence during the local elections. “What kind of election is this during which bullets are fired? The responsibility for fair and transparent elections lies with the PPP and the Election Commission,” he said.
MQM (P) leader Wasim Akhtar demanded that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) take note of the concerns of the United Leaders, while the PTI accused the PPP and the ECP of violating the election code of conduct in Sindh.
