ISLAMABAD: The number of cases of coronavirus in the country has risen sharply, 7963 more people have succumbed to the disease, 27 lives have been lost and the rate of positive cases has crossed 11%.
According to the latest NCOC data, 70389 tests were conducted across Pakistan during the last 24 hours, out of which 7963 persons were diagnosed with coronavirus and the proportion of positive cases was 11.31%.
During the last 24 hours, 27 victims lost their lives in the country, bringing the total number of deaths from coronavirus to 29219, while the total number of victims now stands at 1410033 after adding 7963 new cases.
In the country, 2062 patients have recovered from this virus and the total number of active cases has been recorded at 104095.

So far 538196 people in Sindh, 474208 in Punjab, 190578 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 125203 in Islamabad, 34277 in Balochistan, 36967 in Azad Kashmir, and 10604 in Gilgit-Baltistan have been infected with the coronavirus.
So far 13,139 people have lost their lives in Punjab, 7,800 in Sindh, 5,994 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 979 in Islamabad, 752 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 188 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
