ISLAMABAD: At least 2,714 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan while 73 more civilians have died of the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,212,809 people across the country were infected with the coronavirus, while 26,938 people died from the virus.
During the last 24 hours, 56,733 tests were performed to diagnose coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 1,86,25,952. Nationwide, the corona test result was 4.78%.
The highest number of cases were reported in Sindh and in Punjab. In Punjab, 416,901 people were infected with the virus while 12,291 died. In Sindh, 446,840 coronavirus cases and 7,192 deaths were reported.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 169,429 people were affected by a coronavirus and 5,310 died. In Balochistan, 32,658 cases and 344 deaths were reported. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,198 people were infected with coronavirus and 182 died.

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 33,490 people were infected with coronavirus while 727 died. In Islamabad, 13293 people were affected by Corona while 892 died. The number of active cases of Corona across the country has reached 77,532.
In the last 24 hours, 10,923 coronavirus patients across the country have succumbed to the virus, bringing the number of healthy people to 1,18,339. The death rate in the last one day was 2.2 percent.
